Welcome

Clicking links is encouraged... No telling what you'll find.

Glad you dropped by. This blog will feature the ongoing adventures of a 55 year old man who finally settled upon the career of truck driving.
A bit late in life, you say?
Perhaps, but according to George Eliot,  "it's never too late to be who you might have been."

I'll discuss the path that led me to this occupation, as well as the pitfalls and triumphs (hopefully) that I discover along the way. You will find that I love quotations and will feature them often, as well as some motivational backgrounds I've created. I'm also working on keeping my own motivation in high gear, so many of these quotations will be on the positive side. To keep things from getting too mushy, and to have a little fun, there will be a liberal sprinkling of humor throughout... after all, as Ronnie Shakes said,  "I was going to buy a copy of The Power of Positive Thinking, and then I thought: What the hell good would that do?"

I look forward to the weeks ahead. The next part of the plan involves a truck driving school to obtain my CDL. After that there will be a number of weeks in a truck with a trainer... this part I have to admit makes me a bit queasy... living in such close quarters with another man will be a little out of my comfort zone.
But then, "Yes... is how you get your first job, and your next job, and your spouse, and even your kids. Even if it's a bit edgy, a bit out of your comfort zone, saying yes means that you will do something new, meet someone new and make a difference."
Eric Schmidt

Soooo.. here goes....Yes!

Hope you'll join me, or just check in from time to time....

Till then...       Happy Trails,
